The 6 carnelians resonate with the six offices of the Southern Dipper (which governs life and fire registers), and the 2 amethysts symbolize the two Imperial Stars of the Purple Forbidden Enclosure (The Great Emperor of Heaven and the Star Lord of the North Pole), ruling the celestial fire governance.
